Job Description
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development is hiring an Environmental Protection Specialist in Greensboro, NC. Candidates must have specialized experience in environmental compliance under NEPA and the Toxic Substances Control Act, advising leadership on related issues. Qualifications
Specialized Experience: For the GS-14 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
• Planning, implementing, or authoring environmental compliance guidance and regulations for projects under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of 1969 (83 Stat. 852) [42 U.S.C. 4321];
• Planning, implementing, or authoring environmental compliance guidance and regulations for projects under the Toxic Substances Control Act;
• Advising senior leadership on environmental protection and compliance issues.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
