Environmental Protection Officer

G2 Recruitment seeks an experienced Environmental Protection Officer for a 6-month hybrid role in Greater Manchester. The position involves handling Statutory Nuisance complaints and various pollution control issues. Candidates must have recent council experience, be knowledgeable about the Environmental Protection Act 1990, and possess a valid driver's license. The role requires some office presence, ideally twice a week, depending on caseload.
Role - Environmental Protection Officer

Location - Midlands (Hybrid role)

Rate - Negotiable per/hour

Duration - 6 months +

One of G2 Recruitment's local authority clients in the Midlands are seeking an experienced Environmental Protection Officer to join their team for the next 3-6 months due to a backlog of work.

The role will primarily be focused on Statutory Nuisance complaints and other forms of Pollution Control such as Enviro Crime/Fly Tipping/Littering/ASB etc.

The position is hybrid so will require some office/site presence - ideally twice per/week but will be caseload depending.

Rates are negotiable depending on experience.

Criteria to be considered:
• Must have recent Council experience working within Environmental Protection.
• Be confident with dealing with all forms of Nuisance.
• Knowledgeable with Environmental Protection Act 1990.
• Must be able to drive and have access to own vehicle.
