Job Description
SCS Engineers is hiring an Environmental Project Manager for their Tucson, AZ office, offering hybrid work arrangements. The role involves leading project teams, managing budgets and schedules, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in engineering or science, at least 8 years of relevant experience, and preferably a P.E. or P.G. designation. What we are looking for
SCS Engineers is seeking an Environmental Project Manager who wants to grow in a fast-paced, team-first environment. Our Project Managers are expected to lead project teams, develop strategic approaches to deliver business value, engage with clients, regulators, and other stakeholders, and manage schedules and budgets. The Project Manager will be based out of our Tucson office with hybrid arrangements considered.
How you can make an impact
• Managing projects, including, but not limited to, developing proposals, contracting, leading project teams, forecasting, invoicing, and accounts receivable management.
• Delivering professional services on time and high quality in accordance with local and state regulations, SCS's Quality Assurance Program, and within the planned level of project profitability.
• Managing and executing environmental site assessments, groundwater monitoring programs, soil and groundwater remedial actions, environmental compliance auditing and permitting, and related environmental services with senior oversight.
• Making decisions independently and/or collaboratively on engineering or scientific problems and methods.
• Providing technical and operational direction with responsibility for delivering positive outcomes.
• Writing technical reports and related work products.
• Communicating with clients, third party, and regulatory agents regarding project status, schedules, and compliance issues.
• Adhering to client and corporate contract specifications in all activities including health, safety, security, and environment.
• Mentoring and developing staff.
• Contributing to business development activities.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or science required.
• Minimum of 8 years of related experience required, including hands-on field and office based activities in environmental consulting (e.g., soil, soil vapor and groundwater assessments) with commercial and industrial projects, including reporting. Experience in Arizona is preferred.
• Well versed in environmental assessment/remediation and environmental regulations.
• P.E. or P.G. required or ability to acquire in 12 months.
• Current OSHA 40 hour HAZWOPER training a plus.
• Valid driver's license with a driving record in good standing required.
Pay RangeUSD $80,000.00 - USD $130,000.00 /Yr.Additional InformationPlease note that our pay ranges are determined by several factors, including relevant experience, internal pay equity, and location.
