Job Description
The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government is seeking an Environmental Program Manager for Energy Management. The role involves implementing an Energy Management Plan, providing energy education, monitoring performance, conducting audits, and preparing grant applications. A bachelor's degree and four years of related experience are required. The position offers a minimum salary of $61,039.68 annually and is not remote, as it is based in Kentucky.
SALARY
The minimum salary is $61,039.68 annually.
This position is not eligible for overtime (exempt); however, the city has a compensatory time leave program for employees that grants leave time for hours worked in excess of forty hours.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The purpose of this classification is to implement and manage a government-wide Energy Management Plan to improve energy efficiency and minimize utility costs.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's degree in a field related to the job
• Four (4) years of related experience
• Additional years of related education may substitute for years of experience
• Additional years of related experience may substitute for years of education
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Provides energy education and technical consultation to operational areas to improve energy efficiency and decrease costs
• Monitors and reports energy performance of buildings and/or equipment through utility information, building automation data, and/or direct measurement
• Investigates performance outliers and coordinates corrective action with other divisions
• Conducts field surveys, building audits and cost-beneift analyses to support energy conservation projects
• Develops bid specifications for facility retrofits and equipment purchases
• Identifies energy initiatives compatible with state/federal programs and prepares applications for grant funding
• Performs related work as assigned
SPECIAL LICENSE/CERTIFICATION
All Certifications and licenses must be maintained as a condition of employment.
• Valid driver's license
