Job Description
Global Partners LP is seeking an Environmental Manager in Burnsville, NC, responsible for ensuring environmental compliance at terminal locations across several states. Key duties include overseeing permits, compliance reporting, audits, and training personnel. The role involves travel to terminals for site support and managing interactions with regulatory authorities. Candidates should possess strong communication skills and be self-motivated, with a focus on environmental policies and procedures.
The Environmental Manager will be the primary contact and provide environmental compliance site support to managers and employees at Terminal locations in Virginia, Maryland, the Carolinas and Georgia. This role is responsible for ensuring terminals comply with environmental regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures. They oversee the preparation of environmental permits, conduct compliance reporting, perform environmental audits and conduct training of personnel on environmental policies and procedures.

“Gauges” of Responsibility
• Provide support to Terminal facilities in all matters related to hazardous waste management, air permit compliance and stormwater management/reporting.
• Coordinate Emergency Planning and Community Right To Know (EPCRA) filings (e.g. annual Tier 2 and Toxic Release Inventory (TRI)).
• Participate in emergency response planning and drills.
• To the extent necessary, oversee environmental consultants conducting remediation activities
• Develop and track budgets associated with environmental compliance.
• Interface with regulatory authorities and third parties on behalf of the company.
• Manage tracking and completion of legal and other environmental requirements.
• Travel to Terminals to provide site support, including coaching and training for environmental programs.
• Monitor Environmental Management Information Systems.
• Participate in auditing programs to ensure locations conform to legal and other environmental requirements.
• Manage preparation and submitting regulatory reports.
• Review and approve regulatory submittals.
• Remain current on State and Federal cleanup regulations and pending legislation.

Qualifications
• Required 5 years’ experience working with environmental compliance regulations in Maryland, Virginia, Carolinas and/or Georgia.
• Overnight travel may be required at times.
• Portray a positive image of the company at all times.
• Available 7 days per week and off hours for emergency response.
• Extensive familiarity with MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Strong cost tracking and budgeting skills.
• Able to independently function well and manage multiples ongoing projects.
