Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Compliance Officer to join our team. In this vital role, you will ensure that our operations adhere to all relevant regulatory standards and internal policies. Your expertise will help safeguard our company’s integrity, promote ethical practices, and maintain compliance with industry laws and regulations established by Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Responsibilities
.
• Conduct internal audits to assess adherence to regulatory requirements including OSHA standards and ADEQ/EPA environmental regulations
• Maintain a comprehensive company safety and environmental compliance program
• Update and administer Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) policies, programs and compliance calendars.
• Promote a proactive safety culture focused on hazard prevention and regulatory excellence.
• Manage environmental permits and reporting requirements, including air emissions, stormwater and hazardous waste.
• Oversee regulatory documentation for submissions, inspections and permit renewals.
• Serve as primary liaison during OSHA, ADEQ and EPA inspections and site visits.
• Maintain accurate OSHA logs and required compliance records.
• Lead investigations into workplace incidents and environmental events implementing corrective actions promptly.
• Conduct internal safety and environmental inspections, identify compliance risks and implement sustainable mitigation strategies.
• Administer training programs in safety, health and environmental procedures.
• Track and maintain documentation of employee safety certifications and training records
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Installation and Service teams to fulfill customer safety documentation requirements.
• Coordinate preparation and submission of OSHA logs, pre-task safety plans and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)
• Serve as a liaison between internal departments and customers to ensure timely delivery of compliant safety documentation.
Requirements
• Proven experience in OSHA standards, ADEQ / EPA regulations and RCRA hazardous waste management requirements.
• Experience with development and implementation of comprehensive company safety and environmental compliance program
• Ability to conduct air, water and waste assessments; interpret monitoring data and oversee environmental control systems.
• Strong root cause analysis skills with the ability to implement effective corrective actions.
• Proven ability to lead training initiatives and communicate effectively with employees , leadership and regulatory agencies.
• High level of accuracy in regulatory reporting, permits and inspection records.
• Ability to manage complex compliance matters in time-sensitive environments
• Demonstrated commitment to enhancing workplace safety culture and reducing environmental impact.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
