Job Description:
This job is responsible for ensuring operational data is fit for purpose, defining controls, and monitoring processes are in adherence to enterprise data management standards. Key responsibilities include triaging and remediating data incidents, performing data analysis, training new users, and performing impact analysis stemming from data updates. Job expectations include helping in defining access and ownership of data by domain, conducting quality control, and overseeing data maintenance.
The Senior Data Analyst is a key part of the Environmental Data Solutions team, contributing to the production of a team dedicated to the collection of client Sustainability-related data. The ideal candidate will have an operations or data background in a financial services setting and will be skilled in implementing solutions across a large-scale, complex organization.
Line of Business Responsibilities:
•Researching sustainability-related client data across a number of sources, including public disclosures, internal systems and vendor products
•Accurately and completely collecting and cataloging this data in keeping with defined throughput
•Implementing detailed processes and procedures in partnership with other team members
•Following training protocols, including adherence as they evolve
•Participating in implementation of governance and controls framework, in keeping with Enterprise Data Management (EDM) practices and Standards
• Developing and implementing key search capabilities, focusing on OpEx opportunities to streamline data collection processes
• Contributing to the development of management-level production reporting / dashboards
Responsibilities:
• Ensures data is accurate, complete, and fit for performing data analyses through various testing procedures and data controls which help to identify business insights fit for purpose for a particular product set
• Develops and executes on Enterprise Data Management policies and standards, works across teams to ensure adherence, serves as a key point of contact for all topics related to data compliance, and manages operational elements of the (Enterprise Data Strategy Governance and Operations (EDSGO) relationship
• Manages data related incidents and identifies, communicates, and resolves or escalates issues as needed. Data inquiries include questions related to data issues, availability of data, and potential sourcing alternatives to inform
• Develops, manages, and executes on controls, ensuring tracking, monitoring, and resolution of any control breaches with data platform
• Partners with Business and Technology functions to drive the development of business and functional requirements documents and ensures strategic upstream resolution for data related incidents
Required Qualifications:
• 3-5 years hands-on, applied experience with operations production in a large, complex organization with evolving demands and requirements
• Strong analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail
• Strong project/time management skills, including the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
• Enthusiastic, highly motivated, and execution-oriented with minimal direction and guidance
• Results-oriented, self-starter with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently
• Experience analyzing problems and identifying both tactical and strategic solutions
• Learn quickly to absorb and understand new information
Desired Qualifications:
• Work experience in a team environment
• Proven ability to contribute to the success of a high-performing team
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience; advanced certification
• Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Know Your Customer / Customer Due Diligence (KYC/CDD) or other client-level reference data experience
• Working knowledge and proven ability to utilize SQL and/or other advanced researching capabilities; Alteryx and Tableau experience
