Environment Health and Safety Specialist

Persistent Systems is seeking an Environment Health and Safety Specialist in Pontiac, IL. The role involves performing EHS assignments, providing support through Standard Work creation, and conducting incident investigations. Candidates should have 3-5 years of experience and a BS in EHS or related fields. The position is in-person at a manufacturing site with a contract type offering $30-$40 per hour and benefits including health and dental insurance.
To perform conventional, less complex Environmental, Health and/or Safety (EHS) assignments where building a working knowledge of the products, technologies, processes, services and systems related to specific job assignments is expected. 3-5 years' experience.

Position’s Contributions to Work Group:
• Provide EHS support to facility through creation of Standard Work (SW) and SFMEA, incident investigations, Typical task breakdown:
• Daily EHS activity at manufacturing site.

Interaction with team:
• Daily review and update progress of EHS actions and SW/SFMEA.

Work environment:
• Office and Manufacturing

Education & Experience Required:
• BS in EHS field or related discipline.

Technical Skills

(Required)
• Microsoft office, Operations documentation, and EHS Management.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
