Environment Artist

Rodeo FX is seeking an Environment Artist in Paris, France, responsible for creating immersive, photorealistic environments for films and commercials. Key tasks include modeling, texturing, and lighting high-quality 3D scenes while collaborating with other departments. The Environment Artist at Rodeo FX plays a crucial role in creating immersive and photorealistic environments for films, television, and commercials.
Key Responsibilities
• Demonstrate mastery of modeling, texturing, shading, set dressing and lighting to create high-quality 3D scenes that meet project requirements.
• Create visually compelling environments that align with the creative direction and enhance the overall visual storytelling.
• Ensure environments are technically optimized for rendering, using best practices in modeling, lighting, and shading.
• Collaborate effectively with other departments and manage technical and creative challenges while meeting tight deadlines.
Requirements
• Experience in a similar position within the VFX industry.
• Proficiency in one or more of the following software: Houdini / Solaris, Maya, with solid skills in modeling, texturing, set dressing and lighting.
• Proficiency in using Substance Painter, and Arnold for texturing and rendering.
• Proven ability to create both natural and man-made environments, with an understanding of geography, architecture, and ecology.
• Experience in optimizing scenes for rendering and memory efficiency across a variety of conditions.
• Strong prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work well within a team.
