Energy Trading and Origination Specialist

Statkraft is seeking an Energy Trading and Origination Specialist in San Francisco, CA. Candidates should have strong skills in fundamental analysis, risk management, and market pricing, along with trading experience. A solid understanding of the US power market and structured contracts is essential. The role requires excellent analytical abilities, communication skills, and a passion for renewable energy and climate change solutions. This is a full-time position.
Job Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need to have strong fundamental analysis, risk management, and market pricing experience, as well as trading experience. You should also have excellent quantitative and analytical skills, experience pricing structured, non-standard contracts in power markets, and high degree of analytical thinking and problem-solving. The ideal candidate must be able to troubleshoot and resolve issues of quantitative, qualitative, and structural variety. Additionally, you should have strong communication skills, be entrepreneurial, have attention to detail, personal integrity, and be a team player. You'll also need to have a strong understanding of the US power market, including knowledge of PJM and other relevant markets. If you have experience working with renewable energy or environmental commodities, that's a plus!
