Job Description

Exelon is seeking an experienced Energy Trader in Denver, CO, to trade energy in wholesale markets and collaborate with analysts and risk management. The role requires a bachelor's degree in finance or economics and at least three years of experience. Responsibilities include monitoring market trends, negotiating with stakeholders, and preparing financial reports. The position offers a salary range of $46K–$126K annually and is full-time.

You will be a key part of a dynamic and forward-thinking team, collaborating with market analysts, risk management personnel, and other departments to ensure we remain competitive and successful.The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field, with at least three years of experience in a similar role. You will have an in-depth knowledge of the energy markets, a keen understanding of market trends, and strong analytical and decision-making skills. Responsibilities:
Trade energy in the wholesale markets and other associated activities.
Collaborate with market analysts, risk management personnel, and other departments to ensure competitive and successful operations.
Monitor market trends and analyze data in order to make informed decisions.
Negotiate with external parties.
Develop and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
Prepare and analyze financial and trading reports.
Provide guidance and support to other departments in the organization.
Adhere to all regulatory and legal requirements.
Remain abreast of industry developments and best practices.
Provide recommendations and advice on strategies to minimize risk and maximize profit.
