Position Overview:
Exelon is seeking an experienced Energy Project Manager to join our team in Indianapolis, Indiana. As an Energy Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing projects related to energy infrastructure, including generation, transmission, distribution, and potentially renewable energy projects. You will manage budgets, timelines, resources, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery in a complex and regulated environment. This role is critical in modernizing our energy grid and developing sustainable energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders. Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets. Secure and manage project resources, including internal teams and external contractors. Lead and motivate project teams. Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies. Communicate project status and updates to stakeholders, including senior management and regulatory bodies. Manage project budget, tracking expenditures and ensuring financial performance. Ensure project deliverables meet technical specifications and quality standards. Manage project change control processes. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and company policies. Collaborate with engineering, construction, operations, and environmental teams. Manage contracts and relationships with vendors and contractors. Conduct project reviews and post-project analysis. Identify opportunities for process improvement in project execution. Prepare and deliver presentations on project status and outcomes. Navigate permitting and regulatory approval processes. Ensure adherence to safety protocols on project sites.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in the energy, utility, or construction sector. Proven track record of successfully managing complex infrastructure projects. Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile). Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage large project budgets and resources. Strong risk management and problem-solving skills. Experience working with regulatory bodies is a plus. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera). Understanding of energy generation, transmission, or distribution systems is highly desirable. PMP or other relevant project management certifications are highly desirable. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
