Kimley-Horn is seeking an Energy Engineer in Training with 2+ years of experience for their Palm Beach Gardens, FL office. The role involves civil engineering tasks related to natural gas, including pipeline design and project management. Candidates must have an EIT license or the ability to obtain one. Overview

Kimley-Horn's Palm Beach Gardens, Florida (FL) office is seeking a Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 2+ years of experience to join their Natural Gast team. This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities

As a critical member of the team, you will perform a variety of civil engineering tasks, collaborate with team members and have the opportunity to supervise team members and manage projects. You will receive both on-the-job and formal training as well as mentorship, camaraderie, and exposure to plan production, project financials, and client interactions.
• Pipeline Design
• Horizontal Directional Drill Design
• Natural Gas Metering and Regulation Stations
• Federal, State and Local Permitting
• Client Management, contractor coordination and project manager assistance
• Complex problem solving and collaborate across disciplines
• Pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects ranging in size and scope.
Qualifications
• 2+ years of relevant engineering design experience
• Valid driver's license required
• EIT License (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
• Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
• Detail-oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment
• Experience with design and permitting.
• Experience with task management, concept design, and assisting project management tasks
• Familiar with coordinating with clients, attending client meetings, and overseeing quality standards
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Ability to build plan sets and other construction documents
