Massachusetts Clean Energy is seeking an experienced Energy Efficiency Model Developer to join their Sustainable Energy Team in Brookline, MA. The role involves developing and evaluating models for building energy performance, analyzing data from field tests, and collaborating on project goals. Candidates should have expertise in building science or related fields and be proficient in programming languages like Python or MATLAB. This is a full-time position.
Job Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced engineer to join our Sustainable Energy Team at Massachusetts Clean Energy. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the development of innovative solutions to address the challenges of building energy efficiency. Your expertise in building science, engineering physics, mechanical engineering, or a related field, combined with your experience with programming languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB), will enable you to make a significant impact on our projects.
About the Position
In this role, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and evaluating models and algorithms to predict real-world energy performance of building equipment and systems. You will also acquire, analyze, and evaluate data from field tests, develop custom data acquisition solutions, and co-author reports and research papers. Responsibilities and Expectations
• Develop, test, and evaluate models and algorithms to predict real-world energy performance of building equipment and systems.
• Acquire, analyze, and evaluate data from field tests to evaluate real-world energy performance of buildings and building technologies.
• Develop and specify custom data acquisition solutions to support data collection.
• Collaborate with colleagues to achieve project goals and objectives.
