Eaton's IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a Electronic Maintenance Technician.

The hours for tihs role are 3:00pm - 12:00am

The hourly rate for this position is $21.85 + $1.00 p/h shift differential per hour.

Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you'll do:
JOB DESCRIPTION:
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Maintain a clean work area and a safe working environment.
Perform electronically related 5S/TPM program maintenance related functions as required.
Perform trouble shooting and repair of electronic and electro/mechanical equipment on CNCmachinery and NC testing systems in all areas of the facility.
Familiarity with control circuit diagrams.
Ability to repair and replace components on circuit cards using soldering equipment.
Construction and installation of new control circuits and instrumentation systems from schematics and sketches.
Construction of cables and coaxes for CNC machinery and NC testing systems in all areas of the facility.
Perform routine maintenance, I.E. replacing electronic components, servomotors, lights, wiring, etc., as necessary to ensure equipment preventative maintenance schedules are performed.
Perform duties as assigned to ensure the continued operation and timely repair of equipment which would include making requests for repair parts, maintaining inventories of repair parts and rebuilding units for repair parts inventory.
Report on job progress and log hours in the maintenance tracking system.
Other duties as required within the job classification and duties of lower classifications.

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

Qualifications:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

A high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution is required
Associates degree in Electronic Technology from an accredited institution required. A minimum of two (2) years military training in electronics field may be substituted for an associate's degree.
A minimum of two (2) years prior work experience as an electronic technician in an industrial, manufacturing, or military environment required.
This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee
No relocation benefits are being offered for this position. Only candidates residing within 50 miles of Eaton's Jackson, MS facility will be considered for this position

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Electronic Technician experience including Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) exposure (Alan Bradley preferred)
Prior work experience using CNC equipment
Prior experience troubleshooting and maintaining AC variable speed drives
Experience with electronic circuit repair on circuit cards, power supplies, instrumentation, and control systems
