EV Technician

AWR is hiring an EV Technician in Dubai, UAE, responsible for executing repairs to meet customer expectations, ensuring quality and safety. Key duties include diagnosing and repairing EV faults, programming vehicle control modules, performing maintenance, and providing customer service. Candidates should have a diploma, at least 2 years of experience in EV systems, and relevant certifications. This is a full-time position and not remote.

Job Purpose To ensure the effective execution of repairs in line with customer expectations and requirements, by prioritizing quality and safety while meeting promised time deadlines.

Job Responsibilities
• Carry out Electric Vehicle (EV) repairs according to manufacturer standards and work instruction manuals to the highest standard.
• Complete all work effectively and within scheduled times to maintain efficiency.
• Accurately record details of diagnostics, work completed, and components used, in line with manufacturer standards.
• Apply F1 – Fix it Right First-Time principles.
• Diagnose and repair EV faults using advanced tools.
• Program and calibrate vehicle control modules for optimal performance.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
• Collaborate with the Technical Team to enhance vehicle software and hardware performance.
• Provide exceptional customer service by clearly explaining technical issues.
• Ensure materials drawn on job cards are used for the respective vehicle.
• Handle special tools correctly and responsibly.
• Raise parts requisitions as required.
• Complete warranty tags, attach them to warranty parts, and store them in the warranty room.
• Seek approval from the Team Leader for additional repairs or warranty jobs.
• Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Strictly adhere to safety procedures and requirements as per SOP.

Educational Qualification
• Diploma or equivalent qualification

Work Experience
• Minimum 2 years of proven experience in EV systems

Competencies
• Proficient in computer diagnostics, programming, and EV communication protocols
• Strong technical problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Certification in Electric Vehicle Repair or equivalent
• Valid UAE driving license is an advantage
