EHS Officer

HRSI is seeking an EHS Officer in Karachi, Pakistan, to deliver EHS training, conduct inspections, oversee fire safety systems, facilitate risk assessments, and ensure compliance with safety policies. The role involves performing GEMBA walks, coaching production teams, and maintaining safety communication. The position is full-time and does not require a specific degree.
HRSI is looking for EHS Officer for one of its leading client.
• Deliver Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) training for new and existing employees and contractors.
• Ensure timely inspection of fire extinguishers, fire hydrants, emergency doors, Emergency Hooters, vehicles, and ladders.
• Oversee smooth operation and ensure periodic maintenance of fire alarm and suppression systems.
• Facilitate risk assessors and conduct risk assessments to identify hazards and develop action plans to eliminate or mitigate risks.
• Ensure tracking and timely closures of actions regarding Zero accident Promotion Program (ZAP) and other.
• Perform GEMBA walks across all plant areas to identify and correct unsafe acts and conditions through ZAP.
• Install and update safety signage to maintain effective EHS communication.
• Conduct on-floor Tier meetings and coaching sessions with production teams to improve adherence to EHS SOPs.
• Ensure compliance with all Environment, Health, and Safety policies, guidelines, and requirements.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned as per business needs.
