Door-to-Door Canvasser (Summer 2025)

Run On Climate is hiring a Door-to-Door Canvasser for Summer 2025 in Burlington, VT. The role involves engaging with the community to promote climate action, educate the public, and collect donations. This part-time, seasonal position pays $17-$22/hr and requires strong interpersonal skills and a passion for climate action. Previous experience is beneficial but not required. The job is in-person and involves outdoor work.
Join our team of dedicated canvassers to raise awareness and support for local-level climate action this summer in Vermont! As a canvasser, you will engage directly with community members to raise awareness, inspire action, and garner donations to support Run On Climate’s work advancing bold local climate solutions in communities across the country.

Compensation:
• Pay based on experience, $17-$22/hr.

Employment Type:

• Location: Burlington, Vermont (in-person)

Key Responsibilities:
• Knock on doors, have meaningful conversations, and engage with Vermont residents about climate action.
• Educate the public about our work.
• Collect donations and/or contact information from those interested in supporting our work
• Represent our mission and values with professionalism and enthusiasm in all interactions.
• Work collaboratively with a team and report progress to your Canvass Director.

Desired Skills:
• Passion for climate action and social justice.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Positive attitude and ability to engage respectfully with diverse audiences.
• Comfort working outdoors and traveling within Vermont communities.
• Previous canvassing, customer service, or fundraising experience is a plus but not required.
