Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for the Director of Marine Science Center and School of Marine and Environmental Programs. The Director will oversee the daily operations of the Marine Science Center, manage faculty and staff, develop and implement strategic plans, and ensure the highest quality of educational and research opportunities. This role involves coordinating with local, regional, and international partners and securing funding through grants and donations. The position is located in Biddeford, ME.
Qualifications
• Experience in marine and environmental science, higher education, and research
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Proficiency in strategic planning and program development
• Excellent communication, networking, and collaborative skills
• Grant writing and fundraising experience
• Capacity to work with diverse stakeholders
• PhD in marine science, environmental science, or a related field
• Experience in academic administration and faculty management is preferred
