Director of Environmental Services
Location: Midwest-based required (Iowa ideal)
Travel: Regular travel required across the portfolio
Reports To: SVP of Operations
Company: Campbell Street

MUST HAVES: MUST have skilled nursing or assisted living background. The understanding of life safety surveys and TELS systems is a MUST.

At Campbell Street, we believe the environment sets the tone. From the front door to the furthest corner of every room, the physical space reflects our mission: Developing Extraordinary People Who Drive Exceptional Care. We’re looking for a Director of Environmental Services who gets this — someone who walks into a building and instantly sees the story it’s telling, and how to make it even better.

This isn’t a clipboard-and-checklist job. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who is bold, hands-on, compliance-savvy, and absolutely relentless about making our spaces safe, stunning, and strategically sound.

What You’ll Lead (and Rock):
• Own and elevate the full scope of environmental services — housekeeping, maintenance, capital projects, and everything in between
• Lead the charge on Life Safety survey readiness, including mock surveys and rapid, smart fixes before issues arise
• Be our brand protector — standardize the “Campbell Street look” with color palettes, lighting, furniture, and finishes that are unmistakably us
• Work hand-in-hand with Sales and Marketing to ensure every community is move-in ready, curb appeal is jaw-dropping, and first impressions are unforgettable
• Spearhead capital projects — from roof replacements to complete wing renovations — managing timelines, budgets, and outcomes like a boss
• Bring structure to the chaos — redesign procurement processes, approval flows, vendor management, and project tracking for maximum efficiency
• Collaborate and capitalize on new builds and expansions — not just as a participant, but as a strategic voice
• Be a hustler for good — sniff out and secure grants, tax credits, and rebates for sustainability projects like solar, LED, and water efficiency upgrades
• Create a culture of pride and ownership on every team you lead — recognizing excellence, coaching for growth, and driving results

Who You Are:
• A visionary operator with a background in environmental services leadership, ideally in healthcare, hospitality, or senior living
• Equal parts design nerd and code whisperer — you care about both aesthetics and compliance
• A brand builder who believes every wall color, fixture, and floor tile reflects our commitment to excellence
• A capital project wrangler who can keep a million moving pieces on track without breaking a sweat
• A systems thinker who loves making processes leaner, faster, better
• An influencer who thrives cross-functionally — working fluidly with clinical, operations, marketing, sales, and the C-suite
• Fiercely aligned with our values: Servant Leadership, Mirror First, Always Do the Right Thing, Resiliency, and Transparency

Bonus Points If You:
• Have experience in development, renovation, or community expansion projects
• Know your way around capitalization of projects and long-term value creation
• Have won grants or energy rebates for projects like LED retrofits, HVAC upgrades, or solar installs
• Bring credentials like CHFM, CEH, PMP, or equivalent
• Live in Iowa — but passion, skills, and vision matter more than your zip code

If you’re the kind of leader who can walk through a community and see what could be — and then rally teams to make it happen — we’d love to talk.
