Catalent is seeking a Director of Supply Chain Warehouse & Logistics in Severn, MD. This role involves managing warehouse operations, customer delivery schedules, and supply chain processes. Responsibilities include improving policies, optimizing inventory, ensuring compliance with regulations, and developing staff. The director will also address customer and supplier issues while driving performance in supply chain metrics to enhance customer satisfaction.

The Supply Chain Department is responsible for all aspects of planning procurement, manufacturing scheduling, capacity planning, materials management, and logistics. This includes deployment of common systems, improved processes, and advanced technology to drive continuous improvement in planning, scheduling, and supply chain optimization. The Director, Supply Chain Warehouse and Logistics is responsible for establishing and continuously improving Supply Chain and Customer Service policy and procedure for the site. This position will manage the Maryland Warehouses, including Customer delivery schedules, Sales Order Processing, Demand Management, Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), Master Production Scheduling (MPS), Materials Supply Management, Procurement, Capacity Planning, Supply Chain reporting, and Supply Chain related JDE implementation and data elements, including item master, routing, and bill of material. The Director is also responsible for ensuring activities of all assigned personnel result in the successful, timely, and cost-effective processing of orders to ensure customer and stakeholder satisfaction. In this role, you will create the strategic direction of supply chain and customer-oriented processes to maximize customer satisfaction while optimizing cost-effectiveness and inventory levels. You will hire, develop, and evaluate staff, ensuring compliance with current federal, state, and local regulations. You will also serve as the escalation point for both customer and supplier issues and complaints, develop and sustain internal customer relationships, and design and implement new or improved systems and processes to drive improvement in customer satisfaction. Additionally, you will be responsible for driving performance to target in key indicators for supply chain-oriented measures and maintaining the effectiveness of the Quality System components relevant to this position.
Responsibilities

• Manage the Maryland Warehouses, including Customer delivery schedules, Sales Order Processing, Demand Management, Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), Master Production Scheduling (MPS), Materials Supply Management, Procurement, Capacity Planning, Supply Chain reporting, and Supply Chain related JDE implementation.

• Hire, develop, and evaluate staff, taking corrective action as necessary in accordance with company policy.

• Ensure compliance with current federal, state, and local regulations.

• Serve as the escalation point for customer and supplier issues and complaints.

• Develop and sustain internal customer relationships through direct interaction, responsiveness, and accountability.
,
• Design and implement new or improved systems and processes to drive improvement in customer satisfaction.
,
• Drive performance to target in key indicators for supply chain-oriented measures.
,
• Direct the supply chain team to manage all Warehouse activities, including product delivery schedules, demand management, materials supply management, capacity planning, and supply chain reporting.

• Create and support the implementation and execution of best practices processes such as Lean, Six Sigma, CAPA, ERP/JDE, SIOP.
,
• Maintain effectiveness of the Quality System components relevant to this position.
,
• Drive compliance with all applicable corporate and regulatory SOP and cGMP guidelines for their area of responsibility.
,
• Take responsibility for direct reports' performance by setting clear goals and expectations, tracking progress, and addressing performance-related concerns promptly.
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field; Master's Degree preferred.
,
• 8+ years of progressively increasing managerial experience in customer service/supply chain.
,
• Qualification equivalent to APICS certification is a strong advantage.
,
• Thorough and proven experience of ERP and supply chain systems.
,
• GMP Manufacturing experience.
,
• Direct ERP Implementation experience is an advantage.
,
• Proven project management experience.
,
• Proven experience of global supply chain management.
,
• Direct experience of continuous improvement tools and techniques.
,
• Ability to write SOPs, batch production records, and reports independently.
,
• Ability to work with and lead other groups to develop, qualify and transfer methods, and drive complete investigation, deviation, and change control practices.
,
• Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience with supply chain and warehouse environments.
