Deputy Director, Sustainable Energy, Urban Solutions and Sustainability - for Singapore Residents Only

The Deputy Director, Sustainable Energy role at the Public Service Division in Singapore focuses on leading the Sustainable Energy team within the Urban Solutions and Sustainability sector. (What the role is) The Urban Solutions and Sustainability (USS) team oversees the growth of Singapore companies in the Water & Circular Economy, Sustainable Energy and Cities Development space. Specifically, this officer will oversee the Sustainable Energy team.

(What you will be working on) The DD is expected to lead and work closely with his/her team to:
• Study, analyse and understand key trends in the low carbon economy, across different low-carbon areas such as Carbon Capture, Utilisation & Storage (CCUS), Hydrogen, Grid Management, Nuclear and Solar;
• Develop and drive sector initiatives in low-carbon energy that will lead to the creation of good jobs and establish Singapore as a regional hub for sustainable energy solutions. This involves working closely with companies, trade associations, IHLs, investors, and government agencies amongst other stakeholders;
• Support the growth of the process sector in areas such as manpower development;
• Manage day-to-day operational work with the team, including company enquiries and grant processing.
