Job Description
PWC Australia is seeking an Associate Director/Director for their Debt and Capital Advisory team in Brisbane. The role involves leading deal origination, execution, and providing strategic insights into debt markets. Candidates should have experience in corporate banking or debt advisory. The position offers flexible working and professional development opportunities, but it is not a remote job as it requires presence in Brisbane or Melbourne.
- Join a tight-knit, highly specialised team working on exciting Deals.
- Flexible working and Health & Lifestyle Perks.
- Continuing professional development and training.
About the Team
Our Debt and Capital Advisory team within Deals uses their extensive experience and daily involvement in the domestic and international debt and capital markets to provide clients with advice on all aspects of their debt and capital needs. As an independent advisor and having access to latest market trends, intelligence from transaction experience and broad market contacts, our DCA team successfully delivers optimal capital structure platforms and outcomes that are tailored to clients' specific requirements.
As one of the most active independent advisors in the sub investment grade debt markets with a focus on complex transactions, common themes that usually result in a DCA engagement include:
• Event driven – strategic acquisitions, growth / expansion capital expenditure, change in financial performance or debt refinancing
• Board / senior executive willingness to "test the market"
• Unhappy with existing bank or requirements for additional banks given increased volume
• New CFO or Treasurer wanting a fresh perspective
• Market disruption - loss of client(s); new entrants, declining market share, changing bank behaviour
• Other financing considerations, including capital management strategies and tax/legislation changes.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Associate Director/Director with experience in a sub investment grade (i) lender (bank or credit fund) and / or a debt and capital advisory firm to join our teams based across Brisbane and Melbourne. Your impact will be seen by:
• Delivering crucial insights into the debt and capital markets in a strategic manner for clients
• Leading and executing deal origination efforts by identifying and engaging potential clients, leveraging market insights and network connections to secure new business opportunities.
• Leading transaction execution; including preparation of bank presentations, information memorandums, credit analysis, financial modelling and review of legal documentation
• Helping clients in articulating their needs, issues and risks and providing clear recommendations by leveraging your in-depth debt product and market knowledge
• Inspiring juniors in the team through training, sharing knowledge and actively contributing to their professional development
• Being the trusted advisor through sharing thought leadership and having a presence in the debt and capital markets space with both bank and non-bank lenders
About you

Being commercially minded you’ll enjoy being challenged and will have the ability to learn from a passionate team.
