Job Description
Nutrien is seeking a Crop Consultant in Conrad, IA, to enhance agricultural productivity by developing new prospects and maintaining relationships with growers. About the position
As a Crop Consultant at Nutrien, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing agricultural productivity and sustainability. Your primary responsibility will be to develop new prospects and maintain relationships with existing growers, aiming to increase sales of agricultural inputs. You will be tasked with managing sales to meet profit margin goals while ensuring customer satisfaction through timely and accurate delivery of products. This position requires you to consult with growers on various agricultural issues, providing expert advice and prescribing appropriate actions to resolve any challenges they may face. Additionally, you will be responsible for performing initial credit reviews of customers to assess credit risk and collecting outstanding accounts receivables. Your role will also involve developing and implementing strategies to boost sales of proprietary products, ensuring that you meet and exceed sales goals. This position is integral to our mission of providing sustainable solutions and supporting growers in achieving the highest yields possible.
Responsibilities
• Develop new prospects and interact with existing growers to increase agricultural inputs sales.

• Manage sales to meet profit margin goals.

• Assure customer satisfaction of products including on-time and accurate delivery and quality of product.

• Develop and implement strategies to increase the sales of proprietary products.

• Consult with growers on agricultural issues and prescribe appropriate actions to resolve issues.

• Resolve issues associated with adverse product results.
,
• Perform initial credit review of customers to understand credit risk.
,
• Provide necessary information to Credit Manager in order to choose credit limits.
,
• Collect outstanding accounts receivables from customers.
,
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
• University degree preferred, or 5+ years agriculture experience and high school diploma or equivalent required.

• 2+ years' experience using standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the agriculture industry, as well as the application of agricultural chemicals.

• Proficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.

• Sales experience preferred.
