Conservation Education Specialist

The King Conservation District is seeking a Conservation Education Specialist in Renton, WA, to engage the community in natural resource stewardship. This role involves organizing educational events on topics such as freshwater, marine shorelines, and sustainable farming. Responsibilities include facilitating trainings, webinars, and K-12 field programs. Applicants must apply through both KCD and AmeriCorps, submitting a cover letter and resume by June 23rd, 2023. The position is full-time.
SUMMARY:

The Conservation Education Specialist will connect King County community members to natural resource stewardship opportunities offered by King Conservation District. This position will support and facilitate educational events on the topics of freshwater & marine shorelines, healthy farms, forests, soils, & water. Educational events include in-person trainings for community members, webinars, videos, K-12 field trainings, and the NW Regional Envirothon Competition, including team trainings for high school students.
