Job Description

Allstate Investments' Public Fixed Income Group seeks an analyst to join our credit research team as a climate specialist supporting our research analysts and portfolio managers.

The role focuses on enhancing climate expertise within the team, fostering objective climate awareness, and improving decision-making processes. The analyst will collaborate with team members to develop investment themes, influence relative value ratings through a climate perspective, monitor regulatory and legislative developments, and work with external climate experts. Effective teamwork is essential.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop a framework enabling analysts and PMs to price climate risks and opportunities.
• Influence relative value ratings and inform position weights based on climate research.
• Analyze and present climate opportunities and risks in potential investments.
• Monitor critical climate risks and developments.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not include supervisory duties.

Education and Experience
• Bachelor's degree with strong academic performance.
• MBA and/or CFA is a plus.
• 3-8 years of investment experience focused on climate.

Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations

No certifications, licenses, or registrations are required.

Functional Skills
• Solid financial modeling skills with understanding of climate, finance, economics, and market cycles.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Strong work ethic and communication skills.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with Bloomberg.
