Sustainable Climate Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Sustainable Climate Professional to join our team based in Dublin. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality climate assessments and reports, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.

The role will involve collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective climate strategies for our clients. You will need to stay up-to-date with the latest climate assessment methodologies, guidance, policy, and legal requirements.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Developing and implementing climate assessment methodologies for projects
• Ensuring projects meet the required standards for climate change risk assessments
• Coordinating with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with all project requirements.
• Preparing and submitting technical reports, including EIA stages 1-4
• Providing leadership and guidance to junior team members and sub-consultants
• Developing and maintaining relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners
• Staying up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and emerging trends
• Maintaining accurate records and databases for climate-related projects

Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years' experience working in the environmental/climate sector.
• Experience preparing greenhouse gas/lifecycle/carbon assessments using a variety of tools.
• Experience preparing climate change risk or adaptation assessment.
• Minimum BSc or BA (Hons) degree in environmental science or related discipline.
• Understanding of PAS2080:2023, IEMA Assessing Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Evaluating their Significance (IEMA 2022); TII PE-ENV-01105, TII PE-ENV-01104, and EU Technical guidance on the climate proofing of infrastructure in the period 2021-2027.
• Self-motivated, organised and capable of working on their own initiative.
• High attention to detail, excellent report writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to problem solve and assemble various strands of complex data into clear, concise outputs.
• Capacity to respond to tight timelines, reporting needs, and internal reporting structures.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office.
