Job Description

NFP People is hiring a part-time Climate Action Advisor Project Assistant in London, with a hybrid work model. The role involves supporting Climate Action Advisors, managing schedules, and assisting with documentation and reports related to school engagement in climate action. The position is flexible, offering 3-5 days of work per week, and is a fixed-term contract until October 2026. Candidates should be organized, communicative, and interested in climate issues.
The Role

You will report to the Climate Action Advisor Project Manager and work with the Climate Action Advisors located across England and the project team.

Position: Climate Action Advisor Project Assistant

Location: London/Hybrid

Hours: Part-time, 3 - 5 days per week with flexibility

Salary: £30,619 per annum

Contract: FTC until October 2026

Interviews: First interviews take place online on Thursday 16 October. Second interviews take place in person on Thursday 23 October at the office in Victoria. The organisation will reimburse candidates for their travel.
What you might find yourself doing:
• Support with note taking and diary management across the Climate Action Advisor project
• Creating action advice documents for schools and distributing relevant advice to engaged schools with the Climate Action Specialist
• Scheduling and logistics for Climate Action Advisor meetings, collaboration across team and training days, online and in-person
• Supporting reports on school engagement and impact measurement of actions, led by Project Manager
• Support Climate Action Advisors with collecting, writing and uploading school case studies and distribute relevant internal communications with Climate Action Advisors network
• Managing records through the CRM system
• Managing GDPR requirements for information collected for case studies
• Attending relevant network and coalition meetings on behalf of the Let’s Go Zero team
• Working with the wider programme team at times of high workload (e.g. Awards call for entries)

• It is also desirable (but not necessary) for you to have:
• Experience of working in a team, engaging with external parties
• Experience of coordinating meetings, events and projects involving multiple people/teams, with an education or environmental element
• Experience with MS Office Suite systems
