Job Description

One Mission Society is seeking a Bike Repair Technician in Pavia, Italy, to support disciple-making efforts and repair bicycles at Agape Bici. The role involves engaging with local churches, training leaders, and fostering community initiatives. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, be spiritually committed, and possess mechanical skills. This position requires raising financial support for salary and expenses and is a full-time role.
About the Role

One Mission Society aims to make reproducing disciples of Jesus Christ and equip them to be transformational in their spheres of influence.

The Bike Repair Technician, part of a Disciple-Making team, will model disciple-making practices with individuals and churches in their geographical area to foster a disciple-making movement.

The technician will also repair bicycles at Agape Bici and teach others how to do so.
Education and Experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Experience with disciple-making processes is an asset.
Skill Requirements
• Demonstrated understanding of spiritual disciplines and scriptural application.
• Ability to network well with partners.
• Collaborative spirit with team members in disciple-making.
• Coachable and adaptable.
• Mechanically inclined and able to work with one's hands.
• Ability to learn local language to an intermediate level.
Essential Duties
• Develop a deepening relationship with Jesus Christ through prayer, scripture study, and other spiritual disciplines.
• Engage with team members in regular prayer, fasting, worship, accountability, and other practices.
• Utilize OMS-approved processes to evangelize non-believers and help others grow in their faith.
• Work with the Disciple-Making team to plan and execute disciple-making processes in local churches and networks.
• Partner with churches to start disciple-making initiatives, train leaders, and identify future leaders.
• Pave the way for Church Development to partner with churches and reach their local community.
• Contribute to developing new strategies and training opportunities in disciple-making.
• Help plan conferences, trainings, and collaborate with stewardship teams.
• Seek out and recommend resources and processes for implementation.
• Develop effective processes for material translation.
• Collaborate with Disciple-Making and Church Development teams.
• Assist in other OMS Country Team ministries as needed.
• Complete bicycle repairs for those who visit Agape Bici.
• Repair donated bicycles for distribution.
• Manage tool and part purchases and inventory.
• Be willing to learn the local language to an intermediate level.
