Job Description

One Mission Society is seeking a Bike Repair Technician in Terni, Italy. The role involves repairing bicycles at Agape Bici, teaching others to maintain their cycles, and engaging in disciple-making practices within local churches. Responsibilities include spiritual development, collaboration with teams, and planning training opportunities. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, be mechanically inclined, and possess a strong understanding of spiritual disciplines.
About the Role

As a Bike Repair Technician at One Mission Society, you will play a vital role in our Disciple-Making team. Your mission is to model disciple-making practices with individuals and churches in your geographical area, creating an environment for a disciple-making movement to flourish.

You will also repair bicycles at the Agape Bici bicycle shop and teach others how to do so, empowering them to maintain their own cycles.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Maintain a deepening relationship with Jesus Christ through spiritual disciplines such as prayer, scripture study, and fasting.
• Engage with your team in regular times of prayer, worship, accountability, and other practices, abiding in Christ together.
• Utilize OMS-approved processes to evangelize non-believers and help others grow in their faith.
• Work with the Disciple-Making team to plan and execute a disciple-making process in local churches and networks.
• Collaborate with partners to start disciple-making 'bands' within churches, train leaders, and identify future leaders.
• Spiritually prepare churches for partnership with Church Development to reach their local community.
• Contribute to developing new strategies and training opportunities in disciple-making.
• Assist in planning conferences, trainings, and work with stewardship teams.
• Seek out and recommend new resources and processes for consideration by leadership.
• Implement processes for determining which materials undergo translation.
• Work with the Disciple-Making and Church Development teams to develop an effective process and relationship.
• Assist as needed in other OMS Country Team ministries, where applicable.
• Complete bicycle repairs for people who visit Agape Bici.
• Repair donated bicycles to give away for free to others.
• Manage tool and part purchases and inventory for repairs.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Experience with disciple-making processes a plus.
• Demonstrated understanding of spiritual disciplines and scriptural application.
• Ability to network well with partners.
• Ability to work constructively with team members, showing value and respect.
• Ability to learn local language to an intermediate level.
• Coachable spirit.
• Presents themselves well and engages in tasks with enthusiasm.
• Weave compassion of Christ into all tasks.
• Mechanically inclined, able to work with hands.
• Ability to diagnose and repair bicycles independently.
• Ability to interface with customers.
