Job Description

The Sustainability Associate Manager for the East Region plays a critical role in driving Kraft Heinz’s sustainability initiatives to ensure compliance against policies, regulations and to meet public commitments. Reporting to the Head of Sustainability for the East Region, this role focuses on day-to-day execution, performance tracking, and compliance with sustainability targets and local regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong project and stakeholder management skills, an analytical mindset, and the ability to collaborate across teams to drive measurable progress.

What's on the Menu?

Execution & Performance Tracking
• Drive the implementation of the East sustainability roadmap, ensuring alignment with Kraft Heinz global targets and policies.
• Support execution of initiatives across key areas, including:
• Virgin plastic reduction
• Responsible sourcing
• Scope 1, 2, and 3 emission reduction
• ESG policy compliance
• Local regulatory compliance
• Monitor sustainability KPIs, track progress, and prepare performance reports for internal partners (Zone and Global level)
• Identify gaps in execution and work with cross-functional teams to address them.
• Ensure timely and accurate data collection for sustainability reporting.

Stakeholder Coordination
• Work closely with teams in Procurement, Manufacturing, R&D, Government Affairs, and other functions to integrate sustainability initiatives into business operations.
• Support engagement with strategic suppliers on sustainability topics.
• Provide regular updates to regional leadership on sustainability performance and challenges.
• Assist in preparing materials for external partner engagement, including regulatory bodies and industry forums.

Compliance & Reporting
• Ensure compliance with local sustainability regulations and company policies.
• Support preparation of regional sustainability reports for both internal and external use.
• Maintain documentation and records related to sustainability initiatives.
• Assist in risk assessments and mitigation strategies related to sustainability issues.

Training & Awareness
• Support the rollout of sustainability training programs for internal teams and suppliers.
• Build awareness of sustainability best practices across the region.
• Stay up to date on local sustainability regulations and trends to inform decision-making.

• I posses a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related field.
• I have spent 4-6 years in sustainability roles, preferably within the F&B Industry
• I have strong analytical and project management skills.
• I am experienced in data tracking, reporting, and regulatory compliance.
• I am able to work cross-functionally and lead multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• I am proficient in English. (Additional regional language skills are a plus)
