Haley & Aldrich is seeking an Assistant Project Manager, Environmental Engineer, or Environmental Scientist in Honolulu, HI. The role involves supporting environmental compliance projects, conducting inspections, preparing reports, and managing project aspects. Candidates should have at least 6 years of experience in Hawaii's regulatory programs and a relevant degree. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential. This is a full-time position requiring periodic inter-island travel.

We are looking to add new talent to our growing team! We are currently seeking a Assistant Project Manager, Environmental Engineer or Environmental Scientist to work in a technical support role with highly skilled professionals on diverse project teams in a dynamic environment. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing group and company and get involved in a variety of projects for a diverse range of clients. This is a full-time position located in our Honolulu, HI or Maui, HI office.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
In this position, youwill:
• Will be able to work collaboratively on all aspects of our work in Hawai'i to address client goals and objectives, with a primary focus on:
• Consulting support for multi-media compliance under NPDES, UIC, Clean Water Act, State Cleanup Program (HEER Office), RCRA, and other regulatory programs.
• Conducting facility and construction site compliance inspections.
• Preparing proposals, project reports/deliverables, and regulatory compliance submissions.
• Have a minimum of 6 years of experience with State of Hawai'i regulatory programs.
• Have experience conducting site investigations to delineate the extent of contamination in soil, sediment, groundwater, surface water, and soil gas, including Phase I/Phase II environmental assessments.
• Be capable of fully managing financial, technical, and regulatory aspects of projects.
• Execute projects to meet technical, quality, budgetary, and scheduling requirements.
• Demonstrate very strong verbal communications and written skills including client and regulatory deliverables.
• Be effective in assigning and managing work.
• Demonstrate strong coaching and mentoring skills to junior level staff.
• Possess skills in quality control, planning, cost estimating, and scheduling.
• Direct environmental field observation and testing programs.
• Develop a working understanding of H&A's other consulting practice areas and actively support marketing other services to existing clients.
• Perform all work in accordance with company and client Health & Safety protocols.
• Be able to travel inter-island on a periodic basis.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Minimum Skills andRequirements:
• Minimum of Bachelor of Science in civil or environmental engineering, geology/hydrogeology, environmental science, or related field; Master's degree desired
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in environmental compliance and/or investigation/remediation
• Strong organizational skills and attention to technical details
• Strong computer literacy skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe or Blue Beam
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be proficient at writing, reviewing and editing technical reports to meet scope and quality objectives and client expectations.
• OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER training and refresher updates preferred; strong personal commitment to safety
• Ability to comply with the Guiding Principles and Code of Behavior articulated in our Company Handbook.

The salary range for this position in Honolulu, HI or Maui, HI is $95,000 - $105,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based upon a variety of factors such as education, related work experience, certificates, skills, and current market conditions. Haley & Aldrich reviews salary ranges each quarter to assess competitiveness with the market.
