Job Description
Greenkey Resources LLC is seeking a full-time Architect in Philadelphia, PA. The role involves leading client projects from concept to design development, ensuring compliance with architectural standards and building codes. Responsibilities include preparing detailed drawings, utilizing software like AutoCAD, consulting with clients, managing project staff, and overseeing construction sites. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Architecture, relevant experience, proficiency in design software, and strong communication skills. A Master's degree is a plus.
Responsibilities/Job Duties:
• Lead, develop, and manage client projects from early concept to design development
• Implement knowledge of architectural design, construction procedures, zoning and building codes, and materials
• Prepare detailed drawings depicting the appearance and interior structure of a building project
• Utilize computer software to prepare project design and plans
• Consult with clients to determine and ensure their requirements are being met
• Direct staff in the development of project conceptualization, drawings, and budgets
• Prepare work contracts for building contractors
• Visit building worksites to ensure work is being done according to plan and safety regulations are being met
• Resolve design issues and direct staff with logical and practical solutions
• Prepare and present architectural studies for alterations to existing structures
• Work in tandem with the Project Manager to maintain the activities of workers
• Produce construction documents in AutoCAD
• Provide leadership and mentorship in areas of expertise to peers, developers, and management
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture required
• Master’s degree in Architecture is a plus
• Proven working experience as an architect
• Expert knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, construction details, etc.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop, & Microsoft Office
• Strong imagination and ability to think both creatively and logically
• Visual awareness and eye for detail
• Strong communication and project management skills
