DATES OF EMPLOYMENT: January 13, 2025, to November 30, 2025, preferred but flexible
Positions located in North Platte, Nebraska
This is a position with the Fisheries Division’s Fish Production Section, responsible for implementation of the state’s fish production schedule and development and maintenance of the fish production facilities. Duties will be assigned by the supervisors and will include all aspects of fisheries production and management needed to monitor, maintain, and enhance fish populations. These duties will include monitoring of water quality in the production ponds, maintenance of equipment, draining, and harvesting of fish from the ponds, daily feeding operations and transportation and stocking of fish into specific public waters. This position will assist with grounds and equipment maintenance, outdoor education programs, and other related responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements/ Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: 1 year experience OR 1 year coursework/training in fisheries management, natural resources, biology, and/or agriculture.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in wildlife, fisheries, natural resources or biology. Driver's license required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: General knowledge of aquatic ecology, fisheries production and management techniques; good communication and public speaking skills; ability to follow instructions and maintain records; ability to operate hand and power tools.
